May 12th -- Wedding Day Details

Here are some details about the day of the wedding!

We're having both the wedding and the reception at Schaar's Bluff Gathering Center.  Please gather by 4:30 pm on May 12th; we'll have a brief ceremony, followed immediately by games, drinks, and snacks as we await dinner.  After we dine, dancing and revelry will commence and can last until midnight! If the weather is good, we'll try to be outside as well as inside, so plan accordingly.

Have a listen to "Heartbeats" as covered by Jose Gonzalez...we might ask you to help us provide a recessional on the kazoo or tambourine!  If you get enthusiastic and want to learn it on a different instrument, rather than humming or bopping along, let Becky know since there has been a key change with respect to the original....

Approximate time scale:

• 4:00-4:30: People begin to gather.  Weather permitting, the ceremony will be downhill from the Gathering Center along the bluff.
• 4:30: Ceremony begins.
• 4:45: Marriage accomplished! We meander back up to the Gathering Center.
• 5:00: Enjoy beverages and appetizers as you relax, chat, explore the site. We'll bring frisbees and whiffleball in case anyone is athletically inclined.  Or have a seat anywhere you'd like!
• 6:30: Dinner begins --  we've got Hola Arepa coming with their lovely blue food truck to serve our supper.  You'll love these Venezuelan delights!
• 8:00-8:30: Hope you brought your dancing shoes - around this time we'll start our playlist and rock the night away.
• 11:30-12:00: Event ends...thanks for coming!
